                Introduction

                The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2023 is now open for applications. This scholarship program is designed for international students who wish to pursue their Masters or Doctoral degree in China. The scholarship will be offered at two of China's best universities - the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). A total of 200 Master's and 300 Ph.D. scholarships will be given every year, making this a highly prestigious opportunity for students from around the world.

                Financial Benefits

                ·         Monthly Stipend:

                ·         Master’s Degree: 3000 RMB/month

                ·         Ph.D. Degree: 6000 or 7000 RMB/month (depending on whether he/she has passed the qualification test arranged by USTC/UCAS)

                ·         Travel Subsidy from their Home Countries to China (One Trip Per Person). Applicants in China at the time of application will not be eligible for this subsidy.

                Eligibility Criteria

                To be eligible for the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2023, candidates must meet the following criteria:

                ·         Applicant must be Non-Chinese

                ·         Master’s Degree applicant must be born after 1 January 1993 (inclusive)

                ·         Ph.D. Degree applicant must be born after 1 January 1988 (inclusive)

                ·         International students must fulfill the criteria of USTC/UCAS

                ·         Not take up other assignments during the period of his/her scholarship.

                ·         Be proficient in English or Chinese.

                Documents Required

                The following documents are required when applying for the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2023:

                ·         Copy of Passport having at least 2 years validity

                ·         Updated CV with a brief introduction to research experience

                ·         Copy of Original Degree certificates:

                ·         Master’s Degree applicants have to submit Bachelor’s degree certificate or official pre-graduation certificate showing their student status and stating the expected graduation date.

                ·         Ph.D. Degree applicants have to submit the following:

                ·         Bachelor’s degree certificate.

                ·         Master’s degree or official pre-graduation certificate showing their student status and the expected graduation date.

                ·         Two Reference Letters

                ·         Research Proposal

                ·         Photocopies of 5 published academic papers (if available)

                ·         Proof of English and/or Chinese Language Proficiency

                ·         Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Format).
